One Night One Tree

Breathe Deeply, Support the Planet

For every night you stay, we plant a tree. We have partnered with the National Forest Foundation to mitigate climate change by facilitating regionally specific tree planting and ecosystem regeneration in Colorado forests. Our goal is to plant 20,000 trees in 2024. We all have a role to play in the fight against climate change and the protection of our planet. Planting trees is one step in offsetting carbon emissions and taking responsibility for our environmental impact. But we aren’t stopping there. Explore the wide range of environmental stewardship initiatives at Populus.

Environmental Stewardship

Why Planting Trees Matters

Trees are essential to human and planet health. They improve water quality by capturing and absorbing rainfall and reducing water runoff, which decreases erosion and downstream pollutants. They also remove pollutants from the air and increase oxygen for us to breathe. Through photosynthesis, trees can remove climate-warming carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They are vital members of their ecosystem and provide essential habitat for a range of species.

How You Can Help

The more nights you stay at Populus, the more trees we’ll plant. Guests will also be able to purchase additional trees to support our efforts to plant forests for future generations. By partnering with the National Forest Foundation, we’re ensuring our trees are cared for and protected so they become mature forests that support human and environmental health for generations.

Putting Nature First

We all have a role to play in the fight against climate change and the protection of our planet. Planting trees is a crucial step in offsetting carbon emissions and taking responsibility for our environmental impact. But we aren’t stopping there. We’re also exploring how to reduce our operational carbon footprint, source food through regenerative agriculture, and implement landfill diversion programs to ensure our waste streams are 100% compostable and recyclable.
