Populus has two restaurants and a variety of striking spaces on our second floor, all designed as a celebration of the natural world. From intimate private dinners, meetings, and presentations to splendid rooftop parties, our spaces are suitable for events of all kinds.
Zero-Food Waste Events
In partnership with BioGreen 360 and A1 Organics, we’re proud to host events with zero food waste. Our practices ensure that as little as possible goes to landfills. If your company or organization is interested, we can provide post-event reporting on how much food waste was diverted from landfill.
Biophilic design and thoughtful service will bring a little extra wonder to your next event. Our team brings our nature based cuisine and intentional wine & cocktail program to all private meetings, dinners, and celebrations.

Level 1
Pasque restaurant can be booked privately for more elegant seated dinners or more social receptions and parties. Our chefs table and adjacent booths can also be sectioned off for semi-private dinner events for up to 34.
Level 2
For larger private events and meetings, Our Level 2 rooms are combined to form a 2,000 sq ft meeting area for collaboration, networking events, parties, receptions or brunches.
A social space at the top of the stairs, The Hollow is full of sofas, tables and lounge furniture suitable for both work and conversation. A brass mobile bar can be deployed for small group beverage service. The Hollow is great for semi-private gatherings day or night.
Our most traditional boardroom. Enclave is the place for up to 8 people to meet in comfort. Enclave has a 72” screen and glass double doors that open up to a living room-style seating area we call The Perch. Use both spaces to create a dynamic space to meet, eat and get some things done.
Grove has a charming library feel and features our collection of books that celebrate the wonder of nature. A curvy sofa, a round 8 person meeting table and 64” presentation screen make Grove a room of many uses. Grove opens up to Overlook and Commons.
Located at the east corner of Level 2, Overlook has dramatically framed views of the state Capitol Building and Civic Center Park. Overlook connects to Commons and Grove and is well suited for larger boardroom sessions, private dinners and presentations that call for a special setting.
As the central hub for gathering, Commons features several seating vignettes, a dining table and a well equipped bar area. We can clear the furniture here and set up a 40-person classroom set with a 72” presentation screen. Commons must be booked with all four neighboring rooms.
Level 13
Named after Utah’s Pando, the world’s largest living tree organism, the Pando Suite is our large top floor one bedroom suite. The living room features a 6 person dining and meeting table, bar and a large entertainment space with an art collection. In addition to overnight stays, the Pando Suite can be used as an inspiring meeting room, presentation space, or a preparation space for wedding groups or Stellar Jay party planners.
Stellar Jay offers a one-of-a-kind private event experience amidst Colorado’s urban and mountain vistas. Buyouts include the main and private dining rooms, lounge area, double sided bar and outdoor terrace when the weather is right. Special event menus feature our live-fire nature based cooking in a party style setting with stations and passed bites.
The Stellar Jay private dining room is one of the best rooftop spots in Denver, and is also our largest piece of art. The hand painted muraled walls give way to wrap around city views. In addition to lively family style private dinners and brunches, this space makes for a dramatic boardroom and presentation area.
The Stellar Jay Lounge area is the perfect setting for groups up to 30 that want to be part of the restaurant energy. This space offers access to the bar top and shared outdoor access to our terrace and views beyond. The lounge is perfect for special nights out with co-workers, friends or family.

Denver Art Museum
Just across the park from Populus, Denver Art Museum has stunning event spaces that are ideal for hosting sumptuous galas, corporate receptions, holiday parties, weddings, intimate dinners, and every special event in-between. Designed by Italian master of modern design, Gio Ponti, the Martin Building features indoor and outdoor events spaces, dining options, and seven floors of collections galleries.
McNichols Building
The McNichols Building is located at the northwest corner of Civic Center Park, at the intersection of Colfax and Bannock. In 1909, the cornerstone of the building was laid, setting the foundation for the then Carnegie Library that would become a center of learning in the park. The building was re-opened in 2012 as a contemporary hub for arts and culture. This stunning Greek Revival building with its classic Corinthian columns and iconic colonnade across its front, offer new experiences in a classic space.
Civic Center Park
Bordered by the State Capitol, the City and County Building and the Denver Art Museum, Civic Center Park is the centerpiece of Denver’s green space. If you are planning a large and memorable event, consider using Populus for hotel rooms and space, and working with one of our neighbors that have ample space and capabilities for large-scale events.
